So, you are looking for a 12 passenger van?  Maybe you are just looking for a 12 passenger rental; or maybe you are ready to make the big purchase for the family or church group!  Well, either way, we wanted to cover some important aspects to take a look at.

In particular we wanted to cover 3 great choices for 2009 – 2010 12 Passenger Vans.

Obviously if you are thinking about purchasing a full sized van like this, you are going to want to take your time and fully do your homework.  These vehicles are not very fuel efficient but can definitely meet your transportation needs.

Another great 12 passenger van is the 2010 GMC Savana.  It drives great and has a 5 star frontal crash test rating.  It has a V8 engine, so it actually has a little more power than the Dodge Sprinter (which has a V6).

However, for this reason, it also has worse fuel efficiency.  The estimated miles per gallon on the GMC Savana is 13 miles city / 16 HWY.  It comes with a 100,000 miles power train warranty.

The final 12 passenger van that we wanted to compare today is the 2010 Ford E-series Full sized van.  This van of course like the others seats 12 people.  It is also one of the original full sized models as this series has been on the road for 30 years.

This model is attractive because it is known for it great towing capacity as well as it seating capacity.  Its “built Ford tough”, as they like to say.  The E-series can also be a Flex-fuel van!  So, if you are looking for ways to be a little bit more environmentally friendly, this can be a good option as well.

Overall, if you are looking for a large van that seats at least 12 people, then these are 3 great options.  Before making any sort of purchase we recommend that you test drive and thoroughly research all of your options.

So, you have invited your friends and family, and now you are ready for that big road trip.  Except you have one problem:  There are 12 people going, and your car only seats 7 people!  The answer?  Its time to look for a 12 passenger van rental!

As discussed in a previous article on 12 passenger vans; there are at least 3 different models to choose from that are all great.  However, the real obstacle becomes how do you find a 12 passenger rental van that is available.

Well, we did a little bit of research and found at least 3 companies that typically claim to have these full sized vans available for rent.

First is Avis rental cars.  Avis is a nationally known rental car company, and they advertise prominently that they have 12 passenger vans available to rent.  The only issue because finding one in your area.

Another company that claims to rent out these full sized vans is Budget rental car.  This company is also nationwide.

Finally, there is Enterprise Rent-a-Car that is often able to rent out 12 passenger vans.

Overall, the key to finding one of these vans is planning ahead of time and calling to make sure that it is really going to be there.  Since these vehicles are not as commonly rented by the general population, the rental car companies do not purchase as many of them.

Therefore, they are probably not available at every shop.  So, if you are able to find a company online that claims to have one of these vans available, make sure to confirm that that is the case with a real live person.

If you are able to plan months in advance, you will have the best chance of securing one of these vans for your road trip!
